2015 North Fork Crystal Beta?

I am wondering if anyone has ventured up to the north fork of the crystal this year? I think it may still have snow on the road and might be impassable. I am also looking for some beta on the highest "reasonable" flow it can be run using the crystal river gauge far down stream. I ran crystal mill falls last year when the gauge said 400 and that was a bit manky. The gauge is reading 850 now which is perfect for the falls and it seems good for the north fork. Thoughts?

I have run it as high as 850 on the gauge, great level! The road should be pretty close to melted out by now the lead king basin road sees more sun than the road to crystal. I will be in aspen this weekend running castle/slaughter but could be persuaded to drive up that way Saturday night for Sunday Funday!

Thanks! That is exactly the info I needed. I will talk to some people around here and see if I can get a crew together. I'll let you know about Sunday. That sounds like a pretty good plan to me! I'll be in touch.

Crystal gauge is reading 1100 and on the rise. I was also in the high country and there was still some snow around 9000 feet. I think I will wait a few weeks until the flow is coming down and the road is dry. I'll post again.

Hey y'all. It is time to have some north fork fun. I am trying to get a crew together for this Friday (6-30). I have a truck that can make it up there. I had a friend run it last weekend and said that it was good to go. The crystal gauge is 840 right now and should drop to about 650-700 by Friday making for a nice mid flow up there (in the afternoon of course). ~Joe 9705660491
