16 ft oarframe down Dowd...foolish? Paddle?

Again, title says it all...

multi-day boater seeks daily advice in/around Eagle County...

itchin for some river time, but alls i got is a 16 ft raft. thinking about a long day trip down to Eagle or something. Dowd too hairy? doable? foolish? never been on the Eagle, but live up here now. would I be better off heading toward Glenwood?

last time i saw the eagle (and i might not have been looking at the right stretch of the river) .. well let me put it this way: your 16ftr would probably make a better bridge

too bad travelling is so difficult

A 16 footer would be best along the Eagle River right in the center of Nottingham Lake. Ebay that thing brother, it's too big for Glenwood Canyon, unless you like dredging for a boat off of Tombstone Rock. Maybe the Arkansas can help you out. Good Luck Big Boy!!

The Mighty Colorado

Plenty of room on the Colorado, I've taken my 16ft cataraft on a couple trips on the Colorado. Pumphouse stretch before Statebridge is good, or for a more mellow float take it through Ruby & Horsethief Canyon. Have fun!!
