The Gages seems to reflect the weather well. Today high of 82 in springdale and the virgin peaked at closet to 250cfs. Springdale and Salina will not see temps that high for the rest of the week.

What logic can people use to say the run will experience higher flows than today if the temp. does for the rest of the week will not be higher than today? other than in 2005 the run had peaked at 602cfs.

Other than the historical data tab you can click in the USGS real-time flow chart to see the average flows per day for the past x years...there is a prediction site...

So given the 3 tools...past info, current weather forcast, and current USGS forecast you can say this weekend will be very runnable through the Narrows. Perhaps not peak this weekend but this river seems to be quite elusive when figuring peak flows.

I am still up in the air this weekend...I think given the data via the snopack graph this river will run for more than just this options are open!

I've never boated before, but I have posted a lot on Mountain Buzz!
