wigston put them up on facebook. it wasn't really that high although it did break 350 on the gage last night but jasper is cranking too. we definitely had more water in there monday. kato did some old school play boating in S turn, the entrance to dead hiker, but everything else is good.

on that note. there is a vertical log in one of the drops just below dead hiker right in the middle of the channel and it keeps you from going right as well which is where the water wants to take you. you need left angle coming in with a few strong strokes to avoid it then you get pushed into some branches. probably the sketchiest part on the run right now. i think that log has been there for a few years but just something to remember for anyone going in.

Yule! Forrest did the coolest thing i have ever seen in a kayak. 2nd drop of the big 4, hit the wall at the bottom and completely launched out of the water! (not the typical wall check/ wall slide move) he proceeded to hit the wall and did a complete aerial 360 helicopter 8-10 feet above the water before landing back in the channel!! i have never seen anything like it. no joke.... but that was not enough for forrest noble. he wanted to one up it so on the 3 drop, about half way down doing 60mph, he went for the aerial barrel role. unfortunately he did not complete the maneuver which resulted in a sore shoulder..... he is an animal and he will be back. in all due respect he wanted me to mention that he did snag part of his flapping gobbler on one of the branches sticking out in the entrance to that 3rd drop....

peace - looking to do boulder creek or the source today if anyone is in

Hey Joe - I might run out there just after the 4th, if there's still H2O. Drop a note if you're still there and water is still good. - Harris (paddled with you on Vallecito last year w/ Gordon Dalton)
