yampa beta

Looking for beta on yampa river from steamboat to hayden. Looking to float from Steamboat to the state wildlife area downriver from Hayden. Will be using a 17' raft.

Good float. Access in Steamboat is limited with a raft. You'll have to do some minimal humping but put in at River Creek Park, (corner of HWY 40 and Walton Creek road). That way you get the whole town section. Make sure you can get under bridges if its up. There are a few places to take out. When you are setting shuttle stop by the Yampa River State Parks office on HWY 40 near Hayden. This will be a big day, (around 30 miles I think) Thet will have good info for you.

FYI, not sure but you might have to buy a Habitat Stamp for this mission. There is a thread about it in the alert forum.
