You know, after all these years, there are still a few mentioned above that I have not done. Not sure that I'll even bag them all considering that my faves are so awesome and that I am a single parent of two kids. It has always been tough to decide what's best, but I always like to start my season in NM (very soon). The UTB, Embudo. and Pueblo all rank in the top 10. The Embudo in the top 5. Then the Big South, OBJ, Bailey, Black Canyon, and CC of the Ark, all rank right up there. You notice that none of these are road side boating. I enjoy the wilderness or canyon type boating most. Expeditions in Mexico long ago, fighting for survival, forever influenced my appreciation. It is always nice to run up and bag Pine Creek/Numbers after work, but true isolation (away from the roads anyway) and away from the crowds boating is much prefered. Other CO faves have been Gore, Upper A, Piedra, and Cross Mtn. Frankly, most all CO rivers and creeks are pretty awesome. I try to add a new one every year.
