Would a Chronic be okay to boat the Arkansas below Pine cree

Next week levels, probably @ 1000cfs maybe more. Would you recommend taking a Chronic?

hey dru, take any boat you'd paddle on the Ocoee racecourse section. Same kind of pushy water....especially if the Ark stays up around 2000 like it is today.

That boat would be fine for all of the Ark. The only thing you need a creek boat for IMO is Clear creek of the Ark. We always run Pine creek in playboats, just watch out of the hole after the S move from 1200 to 1800 cfs, otherwise Pine Creek is a class III run. Besides if you carry that rapid, its a lot easier to cary a small play boat.
