Willow Creek 08

Its all good, free of ice, lots of wood, tons of snow on the banks but manageable, the fence is still in the take out before the confluence of the elk.. The flow was around 190, high flows this year are definitely going to move wood around so heads up.

When you all come up for the Yampa Riverfest/Pro Invitational /Memorial day weekend it should be crankin. May 24, 25, 26 cmon.......!!!!

Is Willow Dam release? Flows seem to be pretty constant recently.

Since the whole thing is on private property, is it not possible to scout/portage anything on the way down? Do you agree with the IV+ rating from the books? Thanks for the beta!

You should read all the other posts on Willow at the bottom of this one. Scout at your own risk. The only IV+ is where Woopti Ridge (sp?) chokes the creek, clogging the far left channel with wood 2/3 of the way down. Otherwise it's just fun, continuous Class IV (IV because of the continuous nature).
