Where to go for vacation

I am starting to plan my vacation this year. I am thinking about the middle week in August. Any ideas on places to go that would still have good boating that are a reasonable (1 to 2 day) drive from Colorado?

For a one day drive take a look at the NF Payette. It will be running strong at that time. Lots O whitewater! There should also be some good play in the area. The Salmon might have a nice wave at that time. Hmmm...California, Hood River...

Check out Cody ( Shoshone) we have good play and whitewater until October plus the clarks fork is still running. we are 7 hours from Denver.
