Where can I find water (III-IV) for next 2 weeks?

I live in Santa Fe, have the next 2-3 weeks off and looking for relatively close water. I was thinking of hitting Salida area, but is it going to be any better than the Rio Grande at 3-500 cfs down here; worth the drive?
Does anyone know what the playpark might be like now? Recommend any other parks for this time of year??

Thanks

boating in NM

With all the rain we've been getting here in NM, you might want to stay here for part of your time. The upper and lower box are boatable, Sleeping Beauty is very good at this level, I just did a self support on the Gila last weekend, and the Pecos is thumping between full blown flood and boatable levels. If you're going to be around this week and want to get on a Pecos trip, call me on my cell, (505-670-3697). - Michael
