What is the pink to black run on the roaring fork??

In the flows page, the last gauge for the roaring fork river shows the runs to be cemetary, and pink to black. Cemetary is in CRCII, but I can't find the pink to black. I assume that this is a run upstream of cemetary. Any info on Class, mileage etc. Thinking of hitting up Shoshone this weekend and want to find some other runs too.

Also any comments on the lower frying pan at current levels. I can guess it is low, but is it still boatable. Low water is better than no water...

Pink to black is the run upstream of cemetary. It's class 2 no brainer stuff. It may not be very much fun right now. If you're doing Shoshone, you might consider just continuing down grizzly to two rivers park.

Thanks!

Thanks for the info. I would like to paddle something III-IV, and shoshone looks to be about all that is running. I hoped that something else around there would be interesting. Any other suggestions around there besides shoshone?

Lower blue is class 3ish (maybe class 3-) in summit county. It's a fun run, a bit easier than Shoshone but still worth checking out. That would be my top pick for a follow-up to shoshone.

Pumphouse is running too, but it's only a class 3-/2+ with a heckuva lot of flatwater in between the 2 canyons that have all the rapids. There are a lot of other runs I would much rather go on!

south canyon (below shoshone) is a class 2+ish run, but a lot of places to play. It's a fun run, though pretty dang easy.

Shoshone is pretty short... of course you could always just run it over and over to your heart's content too

I dunno about any nearby class 4 runs that are running right now.

Hope that helps!

Lauren
