What is the CO snowpack looking like for this spring?

How does it compare to last years?

Anyone have any links to info on this?

SNOTEL Basin Time Series Snowpack Summary Graphs | Colorado NRCS

This link lets you choose each major basin in colorado, and gives current snowpack % of average, and shows the trends of the last couple of years. Same type of graph as the san juan and colorado basin graphs already posted, but you can get the other drainages as well.

In general most of the state is average to slightly above average. Should be a decent year, but barring some last minute monster dumps, its not going to be as good as last year.

let it snow!

well, its white outside, so that must be good.

january and february are typically the driest months of the winter. to have gotten any snow these two months is great.

march and april is when we get a big chunk of our snowfall. march is one of the wettest months of the year (sometimes THE wettest) and april doesnt shy away either. and lets not forget may, where in gunnison "april showers bring may blizzards".....or june.

hope for the best, it will good this year no matter the snowpack, just because the ground is still so saturated from last year. imagine last years snowpack on this years saturated ground.....MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
