what happened to confluence?

I got bored today and the weather was great so I figured Id go check out confluence. I know that generally it sucks, but today it really sucked. There was plenty of water, but the last hole was completely washed out. It looked like they were doing work down river but I didnt check it out. Whats the deal? Getting in my boat today was just a disapointment and did not give me the fix I needed. Has anyone run shoshone recently or is it all iced up. Thanks for the info.

Me and a couple friends ran shoshone yesterday. Its not iced up at all. It is actually decent weather. Not the best play, but its deep enough to throw ends.

If the work downstream included a diversion dam it probably backed up the botom pool. We this happens the bottom pool rises and it messes up the play feature. It happened last year when they were building the 2nd hole in Salida. Mike Harvey would no the exact reasons as to why this happens. So check out what type of work they are doing to the river.
