Westwater Terrible Teens

I am doing a trip on west water June 9, I have done a few times at around 13,000 cfs, and many other times at lower levels. I am guessing the flows around then are going to be around 15,000 to 19,000. Any one else have some good predictions? Also are all the lines pretty much the same at 19,000 and 13,000. Any info would be great.

Bigger

Just a guess, but I'm thinking it's going to be a lot bigger than that around the first two weeks in June. It's at 19,000 right now and a lot of drainages haven't started to bust loose yet....

You may not have enough time to consume even a six pack.......it'll be rippin'.

It becomes a flush. Little D has a pretty decent hole at the top. The rest flushes. Sock can be a heck of a wave train at the high levels. Watch out for the Room. The eddy lines boil so big they flip rafts at the high levels. You are going to fly, before you know it you will be at the take out.

Do you mean the weekend of 24-25? Would you have an open spot or two?

This site will give you an idea of where the peak will be. Also as you get closer to your date, you can use this as a good forecast tool:

uuuhh... y'all might be slightly off on your guesses: we just did Westwater last weekend at 20000. 20K. 20 thousand cfs. If anything, June 9 will be much bigger. Take a look at the snow pack in Central CO. It's barely started melting. We had one raft flip in Big Hummer, my wife got knocked out of my 16' boat in the same spot, Skull wasn't tough, and the whole thing could have been done in 3 hours. I don't know what the dams will be releasing by then, but PLEASE do more research and plan accordingly. High, Cold, Fast water is not to be taken lightly.
