If you can get me a couple of slots on your weekend permit, I'll do your overnight raft support if you don't have a ton of gear. Have you done Westwater before?

it takes about 5 hours on the river at that level in a kayak. Add time for stops and Little D, lunch. It's actually a great day run, and it's almost too hot to camp out overnight this time of year anyway (85-90 degrees at night, mostly retained heat on the beaches & off the rocks). I did an overnight on July 31st a few years ago and I jumped in the water twice in the night to cool off so I could sleep.

westwater sucks in 1 day unless you have a raft filled with nothing but beer - especially at those levels. The flat water sucks, the heat will suck, and unless you can tether off to a raft and float in you pfd while drinking mass quantity of beer the trip will suck. Little D and the other rapids should be good but the flat water sucks, find a raft and then you can enjoy the trip.

Zach.
