West Virginia This Fall

Thinking about making the trip for four to six weeks, looking for other guides who want to share expenses. Anyone else kicking this idea around? Lots cheaper to go with a group I'd guess. Also, any info on getting work out there would be appreciated.

If you want work in WV you need to really want work. Over the years there has been millions of Colorado kids who are "looking for work"

Show up, with a good attitude for working and playing, be available and ready. Do not say you want to work then are not able to be found. Gauley trips start early, so you need to be on deck and ready to work.

Calling ahead is a good idea if you can drop some names but otherwise, show up with a log of trips, CPR and stuff, and a good attitude, you should be able to get at least a day a weekend, which is good if your first year,

Good luck

Being a raft guide is so lame. Get a kayak and some balls.
