We hiked up to the Hot Springs (5 miles) and did the overnight program. It was not worth it. The springs were nice (and hairy) but, we portaged about 10 times in the first mile over huge avalanche debris piles. There was one tight 20' almost vert boof drop that would go with some fiber reduction.
I would recommend putting in at the bridge (2 mile hike). It gives you 2-3 class V- to V drops (at about 250 cfs). All of which I thought were high quality, but would be a step up at higher (Wayne Chorter type) flows. The pics don't do it justice. I'll be back.
