West Fork Clear Creek Is Stomping

Hi all:
for class V'ers looking to book down Coors Falls, Z gorge and the strong V boogie on the W. Fork its running juicy right now. Did a run last night and was rewarded with many boofs and high water that covered the mank rocks - but it was pushy and the few eddies available were small and far apart. If anyone wants to do 25/30 mph through rapids check it out.

Also- with the water in there the upper section on the Woody Creek will be in. I think pics and description are on the AW site.
Enjoy and be safe!

Will,
We saw a new-looking river wide tree in one of the drops last weekend. Is that Gun Shot or a no-name rapid? Did you just portage around that? Any other wood of concern in there?
Thanks,
Bruno

Gun shot is too wood choked to run - if the wood you saw was below Z and the V boogie and was in a steep fast section, then its gunshot. We portaged on river left. Very few eddies leading up to gunshot - you should get out after the screaming left right corner and scout your next eddy opportunity. There's another quick portage below Coors and its boogie water, nice eddy on right - used to be able to go around corner and eddy, but new logs have ruined that. The portage is a quick drag 75' downriver. Then its through the willows and into the Z.....
