Josh; direct your concerns to the Clear Creek County sheriffs office, as they patrol the town of Lawson.
There is signage on the road, it is marked. The homeowners who live up that road have complained about the different user groups (kayakers, rafters, 4X4ers) blocking them from their homes. EMS/Fire Department had an issue getting up to one of the homes in the past because of 4X4 trucks & trailers had the road blocked, hence the new signs were put up last year. They are nice people, I've talked with them, but they don't want the road blocked. If everyone parks either across the river or upstream (where the new whitewater park will be) all problems will be avoided.
I've also talked with the Sheriff, Don Krueger, he said he has received several complaints this season about the boaters speeding, rolling through stop signs and illegal parking. He is a good guy and told me he didn't want to post someone waiting and watching for it and if I could pass the word.
Be safe out there,
John Rice
