Want to get started in WW Kayaking. Need direction.

Hi. Just moved to Charlotte back in October and the new whitewater center has really gotten me interested in picking up this sport. Im totally clueless on where to begin and was wondering of there was a good place online to start learning more and making a decision whether or not i want to pursue this.

I think my 1st step will be to take a lesson of some sort out at the center.

I would recommend going in the downstream direction. You'll find it's much easier.

Take the lesson to get started.

Take a lesson

Your first step should be to take a lesson. We offer all levels of kayak Instruction in the Denver area. Use the lesson as a way to both help you figure out what type of gear to buy, as well as a chance to exchange cell numbers with others in the class to find boating buddies.

Check out Confluence Kayaks - Denver Kayak Instruction for more details.
