Volunteers needed for First Descents

First Descents, a nonprofit kayak camp for young adults with cancer needs volunteers this summer in Vail, Colorado and Kalispell, Montana. Requirements for volunteers include Class III proficiency, a clean background check, and a fun attitude and desire to give-back. Session dates for 2007 are: June 14-21 (MT) June 22-29 (MT) July 19-26 (CO) and July 27-Aug 3 (CO).

First Descents was founded in 2001 by Professional Kayaker Brad Ludden. The mission of FD is to provide whitewater kayaking and other outdoor adventure sports to promote emotional, psychological and physical healing for young adults with cancer.

I am really looking forward to the camps this coming summer. I also have a few boating buddies who have had their interest sparked by your post. Can you give a few more details as far as what would be expected of them (I already have a pretty good idea as to what I will be doing.)?
