Verde River, AZ

Anybody know about the Verde River in AZ? What is a good level to run it? Are the locals who run it often? Any hazards to be aware of?

Are there any creek runs in the same area? Is Oak Creek Canyon runnable?

I don't know much about the Verde, but I think most of AZ is pretty well cooked. Oak Creek Canyon would be really cool, but you want a bare minimum of 300. East Verde is supposedly a pretty classic run, but you want about 1200 on the gauge. There probably is enough water to playboat the Verde, but I doubt anything epic will be going in that area.
