Using a bike for a shuttle on pumphouse...

Need some refreshment of my memory. Thinking about utilizing a bike as a shuttle for some section of the Pumphouse run. I've never run the whole thing from pumphouse to state bridge, but have run most of it. As my memory goes, I don't recall that road being particularly favorable for a 'leisurely' bike ride(mountain bike)...rather hilly and the loose gravel/dirt being perhaps annoyingly loose for a bike. But, I can't remember for sure...and maybe some sections would make for a pretty reasonable ride. I know anything is do-able ultimately, but since I'd be riding it solo with others waiting on me, not looking for my adventure to be on the road.

Thanks for the input/wisdom...

I can't remember what happens beyond Rancho, but I think your memory serves you correctly; it should be a pretty mellow ride.

Long ride... Rancho Del Rio offers a shuttle service. It is a little spendy in my opinion - $30 from State bridge to Pumphouse but they shuttle your vehical so when you get off it's waiting for you.

I was there last weekend and found it pretty easy to catch a ride with fellow boaters for our shuttle.

yeah, last weekend seemed to have plenty of people leaving statebridge, you should have no trouble catching a ride!
