USB wood report

From today for the 5 people that actually like the run & are interested:

Water's still a little bit low this morning, but so is everything close to home.

All subject to change of course:

Trainspotting: all good, no wood!

Gash: if you're into such things, keeps collecting more wood.

Lumberyard: There's a small log sticking out from the right bank just above the last drop, but it's not really in play unless you're way off line somehow.

S-turn: that same log that's been there forever is clogging up the 2nd takeout eddy. We eddied out in the first good one.

Grand Piton NP: at the very end of the rapid when it's basically over, there's a log across 3/4s of the creek. There's a passage on left or right side, but left goes with the current. If you're in control this isn't a big issue.

RIMBY: big log below the boof is still there but is pretty well covered with water so not really a problem. In between the 2 little slide/ledges after the boof is a log across the oh-shit slot on right. It's not where you want to be, but if you're there, you'll be way sorrier now. It also might be more in play at higher flows when the middle rock gets covered. I think this was in a similar position a couple years go.

Lots of little pieces of wood in the in-between to be heads up for, but nothing that you can't read and run easily enough.

So it's in pretty good shape & water is rising fast.

There's also a log across the top of LZ, if you're into that sort of thing. The run is in much better shape than last season and the season before; it would be really nice if we could get that log out of the RIMBY runout.
