Upper Toro - Costa Rica- need some info

Im heading for the upper Toro Tomorrow, last run in Costa. Chasing Jags says in III+ or IV. Im going with a group of 3, two solid IV-V boaters and a III+ boater. None of us have run it before. Just looking for any insite. Should we be looking for a guide or just use best judgement and scout anything we{re not sure of? Creekers, playboats, midrange, we have access to all three?

Its been quite a while since I did that run, but some info is better than nothing I guess.
If you are putting in at the power plant and heading down, I remember it being mostly III+/ IV-. There were a couple rapids at the start we scouted, but nothing major. The run got easier as it went. We were all class IV boaters at the time and in playboats of the day (Midieval, Alien, etc.....). It was the most beautiful run with waterfalls everywhere. If you want some harder creekier stuff at the start, you can hike up the creek a little bit that runs by the powerplant if it has water. You can see that from the road and decide if it is what you want.
Hope that helps.
