Two Dead on Upper Animas

Sad news, two people died in No Name Rapid on the Upper Animas today. I don't have any other details but will post as they come in. Be safe out there.

Here is the developing story, which says Ten Mile Rapid not No Name, and it was a commercial raft trip (not mine).

So now I just heard from the sherrifs office that it was a private trip and not a commercial trip as the paper says.

sadly, the latest news is that it was a commercial trip and a guide and client have died. our deepest sympathies go out to the friends and families. i suppose there will be more details at durango herald tomorrow but please be careful out there and don't take the river for granted. this was an expert guide and top notch outfitter.
