Turrialba for Winter?

Anybody have any experience with Turrialba Costa Rica? Was thinking of spending 2-3 months down there boating and possibly working. Does anyone know if raft companies hire gringo guides or safety boaters? Thanks. Josh

We were down there last February. It was incredible. The companies we rafted with did hire Americans. Several from the Fort. Check out Serendipity Adventures on the web.

Give Warner in Idaho Springs a call. He is from Costa Rica somewhere and guides there during the winter. (720) 227-4167.

Drop me an email and I'll send you a phone number, I would love to answer any questions you have - there is too much to type and I have sausage fingers. I lived and worked in Turri for Rios Tropicales for 7 months last year.

hey sarah whats up?!? lista para la compe del sabado? escribame el lunes pa que me cuente como le fue

josh, theres quite a few companies you could work for in costa rica, how much work you get depends on when you get there (usually better after the holidays). it might be a good idea to contact one of them before you come down, will make your life easier...

just write me (tinakatsi@hotmail.com), i could give you a hand.

I've spent a few winters in Turrialba and I have to say, it's one of the friendliest, coolest places I've ever been. There's really no place quite like it. If you go down there, you'll never regret it.
