TR- Crested Butte Creeks
Told everyone I'd throw up a wood and trip report following the weekend in the Butte.
Couldn't get a wood report on Daisy as we couldn't go. Turns out a lot of the drops are blind and a good guide is almost mandatory.
Upper East was at 2200-2300. The run took on some nasty characteristics... Such as the huge swirling eddy at the bottom of the first slide. It's inescapable. The hole kicks straight into the eddy... All 3 of us ended up in the eddy. Mild Carnage ensued.
OBJ went good. Avalanche was cleared out and looked stout. Mostly wood free. It was a good time, remember hold on to your paddle tight when you go over the big one. Lesson Learned for me.
