Concussions can be serious, but would you call for a helicopter for it? Seems a bit much and expensive when you are just about done anyway. And why are we hearing about it in the newspaper? Did these guides not know where the hole was?
If someone has head trauma and is vomiting that is an immediate evacuation if at all possible in my book. Once the brain starts swelling it can go badly in a very quick and fatal way.
The writer is pretty messed up though with the timeline. Boat flips, gourmet food is not eaten, later in the evening she gets sick, they call for evacuation and the heli is there at 5:30 ...... all on Wednesday. I hate bad writers.
I don't know about arms wrapping around, but I feel at Home on the river as I do few places on earth. Carry on.
