Very nice, took a while to stop laughing, and I'm genuinely concerned about the plight of the drug owls, but... regretfully, my check is not in the mail.

my family has actually taken in an owl orphan. the poor little owl chicklet was abandoned by its crack head parents and left to die, until we took it in and nurtured it back to health.
they truly are a wise species

Wow, BSoE.... away from the computer for a little better than a week, and come back in here to find this brilliant homily on the dire condition of the stoned screech owl! You know it's a mark of genius when your readers very nearly pee themselves perusing your musings..... Job quite well done, my friend!!

I hope in the future Americans are thought of as a warlike, vicious people, because I bet a lot of high schools would pick "Americans" as their mascot. -Jack Handy

Eureka! I had no idea. Reminds me of an unusual owl sighting in British Columbia. I was strolling down the pedestrian mall in lovely Whistler B.C. post shred (read: after snowboarding), when I spied an owl the size of a softball perched in a sapling. Struck me as unusual due to the setting. Ped mall is not the place you expect to see an owl during daylight hours. Little did I know, said owl was waiting for a sack or a mouse to fall out of someone's pocket. Live and learn.
