2011 marks the first ‘Golden Games.’ The Golden Games is a 5 day national event that brings together the outdoor community for adventure sports, music and lifestyle in the culturally rich setting of Golden Colorado. This national event will draw in large crowds of outdoor lifestyle minded families and individuals for sharing in all that Golden offers this community.

* Date: May 25 – May 30, 2011 (Wednesday through Sunday)
* Events include: Kayaking, fishing, yoga
* Events are open to all participants, spectator’s are welcome at each event
* Additional activities include – Pub crawl, Night out on Golden (read less)

Here's this year's schedule:
Wednesday May 25th: “Paddle with the Pros” at the Whitewater Park in Golden 1pm-7pm. The Inaugural Golden Games Launch Party” at T-ROY’s house in Golden @8pm-?

Thursday May 26th:
The Screaming 1/4 Mile Race on Clear Creek 4pm-7pm

Friday May 27th:
Slalom Kayak Races 4:30pm-7:30pm. Only happening if we get more then 10 competitors.

Saturday May 28th:
Fly Fishing Casting Competition at Lion’s Park 9am-12pm. Lunch 12-1:30 Fly Fishing Finals on Clear Creek 2pm-5pm

I just hope the yoga and fishing aren't at the same time, I'd hate to miss spectating one of them.

This is great for Golden & I'm sure it took a lot of work to put together- thanks for doing it.
