The embudo means funnel!!

I just received the latest kayak porn to come out of New Mexico..
We all love to watch the LVM boys running the shit. It’s what keeps us sane during the long winter months, but from time to time you want to see what the average class 5 boater does in his spare time.

FUNNEL is a refreshing approach to a modern day video/ guide book. The kayaks are not plastered with sponsors stickers (in fact I think I even saw a few Dagger Gradients) the paddlers are just “Regular People” doing what they love. The DVD is more of a guide book to the state rather then some huck fest DVD.
I think this is the next revolution in guidebooks and kayak porn. It gives you the local look at what it means to be a kayaker in New Mexico. Sure there where no “Tommy Hilekes” running absurd things most of us mortals could only dream of. But there was Ed Lucero running some scary ass drop on the Guadalupe back in the day. Dam that drop just looked dumb!!
It also provides you with a visual look at many of the class 4-5 rivers at different water levels… I like this type of guide book better because I can never remember when to boof left to miss the death sieve after 80 miles of pinning/kayaking down some run that is too low or too high.. It would be better to just pack the portable DVD player along with the throw bag and pin kit and have a day of it!
If you plan to go to New Mexico next spring you need this guide book/DVD! Or get Atom to show you down the rivers.

Oh yeah. The old school stuff of Ed Lucero and company running the slots on the Embudo at 4.6 is the definition of “sacking up”. Man that was impressive!

I got mine last night, watched the embudo section like 3 times! Forced my rommate to watch all the sick ed lucero parts. What an awesome dvd, I love how the chapters are arranged around the rapids so you can easily skip right to the part you want to see. Dave, or anyone else, you can order them at 100% totally worth it.

Nice work atom - got mine the other day. Watched the whole thing as I drank too much coffee late in the day and was up late. Really enjoyed the soundtrack - it was nice to see a creeking vid set to something other than hard grinding metal or some other obnoxious loud sounds.

Format is pretty cool too - you could be on something

Psyced to make more trips down next spring for the Embudo and perhaps get on the Brazos if I can figure out the flows! See you in the Spring
