Teva Mountain Games in Vail - 75 bucks for Chute Race %&

I wanted to do the Chute Race for the Teva Mountain games. Its 65 bucks to enter and then 10 bucks for to join the ACA which is mandatory. Doesn't that seem a little excessive. They are also charging 5 bucks for an activation fee with active online. What the crap is this and whose stupid idea was this anyway?

according to the web site it's only $30, plus ACA membership.

yeah thats what i looks like

It looks like its only 30 but by the end of the sign up they are charging your card 65. 30 for the teva mountain games and 30 for the race and 5 for the active.com fee. It doesn't really explain the total amount too well. -

TMG has pretty good cash purses for their competitions if I remember correctly. Gotta pay to play. I personally think the event is great for the whitewater and (and non-whitewater outdoor) sports community.

If you have questions, the organizers can be reached at 970-926-4799. They are good people, I know them well, and they will be happy to address any questions.
