Alex, short notice but what about getting on the SF of the White this weekend? Too much Water?

I don't know much about the road situation but I could call, I am pretty sure the New Castle area road is open, don't know about the Dotsero road.

I will have a phone on me, I have a AA USB charger made out of a Altoids tin, plus I can charge it from a library PC or if someone lets me crash at their place on their PC.

Best of luck to you. I know my back wouldn't hold out with that much paddling....stay loose!

In my opinion your plan will work for about the first 2-3 days, if that. Trying to plan a paddling road trip with variable levels and weather down to the day like that is an exercise in futility. Be ready to throw that plan out and drive to where the paddling is best at any given time and you will have a better trip.

That's just my experience from driving around out there chasing water the last 10+ summers.

Kevin -- pretty set on going to the Embudo this weekend and I wouldn't be surprised if it was difficult to get to the put in up there. I'll let you know if that changes.

Leland -- he is riding his bike for shuttle around the State, thus the need for planning.

May good luck and good flows be with you as you embark on this epic effort.
