Taos Box & Racecourse - April 7th and 8th

Happy Spring All - I'm looking for some kayakers who would like to go along on a raft-supported Rio Grande trip this weekend. Right now there will be 4 rafts and 7 people going (think plenty of extra room for your gear if you want to kayak). The river is running at 1,150 cfs...ideal given the winter NM and southern CO has had! We are experienced rafters with full kitchen setup but no experience specific to this stretch. All of the rowers have class IV experience but don't even know where the putin is for Taos Box, if camping is allowed at the putin, which rapids to look out for, where the good hotsprings are, etc. But we do know that we are ready to have a fun out Friday night, gear up the boats early Saturday morning, run Taos Box Saturday (17 miles), camp, and then run Racecourse (10 miles) on Sunday. If you have knowledge of this river and would like to come, that would be great. If you can't make it but would like to offer some info that would be much appreciated. Cheers, Eric ( or 303-527-0191)
