Swift Water Rescue course in the midwest??

Looking to take a swift water rescue course, however I have the unfortunate privilege of living in Michigan. Was just curious if anyone knows what the closest place would be to take a course? Thinking Pennsylvania or West Virginia, but could also use some recommendations

Thanks

Montana River Guides Swiftwater Rescue

Missoula, Montana is not too, terribly far from Michigan and we offer Rescue 3 certified courses here. We work on the Clark Fork, Blackfoot and Bitterroot rivers and teach courses throughout the year. If you have any interest visit our website at Montana Rafting - Whitewater Rafting, Riverboarding, Kayaking, and Canoeing the Alberton Gorge Missoula Montana. Wish you luck and hope to meet you.

Swiftwater Rescue

I would highly recommend the New River Rescue Center based in Fayetteville, West Virginia.
You can visit their website at: http://www.newriverrescuecenter.com

They are Rescue 3’s Eastern Regional Training Center and run a great show.

Can you get a group together? Rescue 3 will send an instructor to you if you want to sponsor a class. Call them for details. You might be able to attract local resuce agencies to your class??

You could also contact Randy Carlson with the Kayak and Canoe Insititute. They teach ACA Swiftwater courses out of Duluth, MN.
