Before the snowmelt in April I would knock out all the National Parks etc... in Arizona and Southern Utah (Grand Canyon, Arches, Bryce, Zion etc..). Colorado in late May and June and then up to Idaho for July. The camping is great in Idaho with all the hotsprings etc...unlimited river runs also. Make sure to buy Delorme Gazateers for each state. Lots of free camping on BLM and NF land.

Bring passports so when you get done with Montana, Idaho, Washington and Oregon in July you can continue into the Great White North where the water never runs out.

Lots of critters in that beautiful place.

Great White North is currently discounted about 20%.
