Stone Bridge Clearance

Back in 1995 I went under the bridge with an oar frame on a 14' Hyside boat at about 3500 cfs - all of us hit the floor and the tops of the pins scraped the underside of the bridge. I wouldn't try it again, in hindsight I got lucky.

Last year at ~4200 we saw people ducking the bridge in paddle rafts, but we took out just prior. Looked like 14' boats w/ any type of rocker on the ends were at risk at that level. Wouldn't even think of taking my oar rig w/ a DRE seat down there at levels in the high 3000s.

Yup, Big Drop is the one that can really eat you at high water.

Yes, avoid the hole at the top of Big Drop. Skirt it to the right and then get into the wave train. Not hard, just need to be ready for it, it can sneak up on you. Everything else is pretty easy actually, just FAST.
