Stolen kayak in Missoula

Hey Missoula boaters, can you keep an eye out for a blue Liquid Logic trigger. I just moved back to town and didn't unload my boat off my car last night. Stupidly, all my gear was in my boat, including my dry suit. Can you keep an eye out for this boat on the river, I'd appreciate it!

Thanks!!

Any pics of your boat?

Size and color and brand of your Drysuit?

Any markings on any of the gear?

Other stolen items

Oh wow that worked...My boat should have my name and phone number by the foot boards. Also stolen was a red and grey kokatat dry suit, size small.

I also had in there my orange and black keen river boots (size 7 ish), blue NRS helmet (size small), powder blue dry top (can't remember the brand), black poggies, spray skirt (mostly black), a black skull cap (size small), an old Lotus PFD.

Thats about all I can remember. I was moving back out from Oregon and forgot I had put all my gear in my boat to save room in the car. Anyways, I'm new to the boating community in Missoula so if anyone can spread the word I would really appreciate it!! Boating community UNITE!!

So if one saw a boat matching the description/photo and wanted to see if it was stolen, would the name in it be "Quesera?" Or is there another name folks should look for to immediately identify that it's yours?

Also, have you put up a notice at the local kayak shops?

Good luck getting your boat and gear back,

-AH

Your gear probably didn't stay around here. The meth heads are probably trying to fence it somewhere else. Maybe try calling the pawn shops in Bozeman. I'll keep an eye out for it anyway. Pictures and beers delivered to the outfitters will have the local guides helping you out too. Good luck, welcome back.

Ya good point. I already sent a flyer thing over to Zootown surfers. I'll check in with Bozeman shops. Thanks for the advice.

Bummer about your gear. South American security technique.

In Chile petty theft is much higher. A few years ago I started having high school students keep a bike combo lock with their gear. You can thread your helmet, pfd, helmet, dry suit and boat all in a way that means the thieves would have to destroy your gear in order to steal it. None of the persons who used the bike cable have been robbed.
It sucks getting robbed. And stinks too to have to lock stuff. But even places seemingly safe like my friend's back yard in Fayetteville, WV had boats and SUP boards stolen.
Good luck finding your gear.
Keep Kayaking.
