As I recall, the State Bridge take-out on the south side of the river costs, but you can park on the road on the north side of the river for free, though it is a bit of a carry - esp for a raft - north under the tracks. As far as camping, I've seen it done just east of the State Bridge lodge up the hill on the inside of the big left hand curve of the road.

Also tons of free camping on BLM land north of the road just upstream from Pumphouse - 14 miles east of Rancho.

I think there may be another take out by piney creek a few hundred yards before state bridge I'll ask around but maybe over the hill along the river thats where I would camp hitch aride into state bridge
