St. Vrain River Clean-Up at Lyons Outdoor Games
St. Vrain River Clean-Up June 10th in Lyons
LYONS, CO - Lyons Outdoor Games, Keen Footwear, Spice of Life Catering and Leave No Trace are joining forces to keep the St. Vrain River clean. The fifth annual Lyons Outdoor Games, to take place on June 9, is poised to host the largest turnout in the event’s history. “We’re expecting more competitors and spectators this year than we’ve ever had,” said Matt Booth, the event organizer. According to Booth, the large turnout has the potential to create a large amount of trash at the event site. In order to keep the river corridor clean and to give back to the town of Lyons, event planners have organized a river clean-up on Sunday, June 10th. The clean-up will start in Meadow Park in Lyons at 8:30am and will end at the Black Bear Hole, the primary event site, at 9:30am. Spice of Life Catering will be providing breakfast for clean-up participants, and Keen Footwear and Leave No Trace will be giving away prizes as well. Sign up for the clean-up at the event registration on Saturday. For more information, please contact Ben Lawhon <Ben@LNT.org>
