Matt,

How's Cali treating you? You aren't missing anything in Laramie, cold, windy and shitty snow - but thats getting better. Are you coming back at all for the spring? Call me if you do and we will boat.

Later,

Zach.

curious Matt, almost all the info you need is at
http://www.boof.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1169

SoCal has a ton of runs, but it's not exactly of the 'drive here, boof here, take out here' variety. Most people do 5-10 mile hikes (for put ins *and* take outs) and you might end up canyoneering more than boating (I know of some folks that had an 80-foot dam rappel).

You also have the small issue of runnable flows 1-2 times a decade, tis the trade-off for having 80-degree temps in January.

I'm assuming BrettV is Brett Valle the webmaster of Boof.com. If so, pretty thoughtful of you to reply with the requested info Brett. I'm a transplanted Californian, so I keep up on both Boof and the Buzz.

just seeing if I could press any buttons on that comment about mountainbuzz being better just a little bitter about not having anyone to boat with yet

Thanks for the reply. I checkout out the north fork of matilija creek the other day and if there is still water am going to run it this weekend. Looks pretty cool.

brett-nice photos...thanks for the reply
