The SPPP is a group of river community shareholders (CWWA, TU, DOW, DWB, Aurora Water, etc.) that meets every year to go over the status of the SP and in particular, the year's water issues for that river. I've been representing the Buzz community at the SPPP meetings for the last three years or so, but since I am now more often on foot in the mountains than on the river, I'd like to pass the position on to someone else.
What you have to do: The Buzz rep goes to the annual SPPP meeting at the DWB, and I've posted notes from that meeting - usually the water managers' predictions on the flows for the year, where they will be doing special projects/releases, etc. In season, I coordinate with Dave Bennett at DWB to get boaters info on releases for Bailey/Foxton and Deckers.
PM me if you are interested. Here are links to an old post on the annual meeting from 2008:

P.S. It's also worth noting - to save the next guy trouble - that I've been over the issue of scheduled releases from the Roberts Tunnel six ways from Sunday with DWB reps. The Tunnel is unfortunately too low tech (manual controls by the guy who lives across the street) and due to the trout, has to be stepped up and stepped down in a specific manner. All that to say that it's not going to happen unless the Tunnel is someday controlled by a computer in Denver. Thought it was worth mentioning as the issue seems to arise when Bailey season starts.
