South Mineral status?

How is the wood/ice bridge situation up there right now?

It was such a mess last year.

We went and checked it out two weeks ago after paddling Mineral Creek. It looked surprisingly good. We didn't have a chainsaw and were on a timetable, but there was a log lying at an angle in the waterfall pool that could be moved fairly easily - a log sticking out of the cave in Shish Kabob on the left side that doesn't present much problem if your on line - a couple small logs in the entrance move to the Room that would be real easy to clean out with a chainsaw. I posted an update after we went up there so hopefully somebody's been up to clean it. Looks like the water's dropped out a bit. There was still a fair amount of snow on north aspects and it's supposed to be warm around here this weekend, might see a good spike. If the gauge for Mineral Creek ( Colorado Division of Water Resources ) at is 200+ ( 1/2 Mineral - 1/2 South Mineral ) it's probably worth the drive. The triple drop on the side creek is totally cleaned out and and a decent level.

Leland checked it out last week. He said that it could possibly be run as is, but could still use (2) logs removed. one at the 20-er lip & another in the cauldron.
I am hoping to get up their in the near future with angry beavers.
