South Canyon Wave

Some anonymous paddler emailed me the goods on the South Canyon Wave with a USGS gauge #. This run and it's flows are now live.

Check it out – South Canyon Wave

Are these flow levels accurate for the South Canyon Wave?

Too Low: 0-1000
Low: 1000-3000
Medium: 3000-4000
High: 4000-6000
Crankin: 6000+

Those levels are not right. Anything below 2600 is too low. Anything over 3900 is too high. That is a broad range, but more accurate. It is hard to catch at the right flow becuase the window for good flows is very narrow.

yes, kyle is right. The wave is surfable within that range. I know it's changed in the last few years too.

Paul, the levels you posted are probably good indicators of flow on that section of river. South Canyon wave has a narrower window of when you can surf it.

Paul,
on the eddyflower page I expected to see a "Current Level". Is this in the works? I usually add Roring Fork @ Cemetary to the CO SoBlowMe and add a couple for a decent estimate.
Hope this rain gets us there for a day or 2.
