South Canyon

When does the south canyon wave come in? I need to get out in my boat and saw that the water was up out there. At what flows should I make the pilgrimage out there?

Roughly 2800 to 3300. A local probably knows the levels more specifically. But that is what I remember.

Id say more along 2900-3550..... I think with the recent years, sands either built up, but I remember surfing it a while back at 2600, now adays its just not there at 2600.....

Anyone been out to the south canyon wave lately? Looks to be at the right CFS, just want to make sure before I drive all the way out there.
Thanks

It was getting there on sunday afternoon. Sorta surgey but definetely good for some 30 seccond surfs before it greened out. You could throw stuff in the left pocket but timing was a bit tough and staying on the wave after landing was even tougher.

I put a pic up in the rodeo/freestyle gallery of what the wave was doing last sunday.

I'm not well dialed into what each level equates to on that wave, but I'd make the drive again if it was going to be the same or better.

see you out there, maybe.

drove there today. level 3500 or so. From the bank looked washed out most of the time with short pockets of surfable pile. I didn't put my gear on..

Either Delish didn't put his gear on because he forgot his surf tights or he is trying to hide something.... THE WAVE IS IN as the entire CRMS kayak team will attest. Was there on tues. and it was rippin' at 3500. Air blunts and pan-ams right and probably a wide range of flipitty tricks that I can't do are attainable. Git sum. Boating season is officially on.
