for you guys with kids. it won't be long until you can have them on the river. my dad got me on class 2 in a dancer xs when i was six. i have been paddling ever since. he still got to run harder stuff sometimes, but he took me whenever i wanted to go. good luck. i m sure its just as fun seeing junior kayak as it is to paddle yourself.

Great posts-

Although I have had a good run on class V rivers, I have toned things down. Last year I walked Super Max and Oceana....two rapids I normally run. My wife loves to boat but we both keep our little boy in mind when running tough rapids. I look forward to taking him out in a few years, maybe this year but I doubt it...he is only 9 weeks old. I can't wait to run some class V one day with him when the time is right!

Steven- DD and I are planning a trip over to your neck of the woods in late May-early June. Leslie is psyched about it but it will be a short trip for me. I want the "stoner stampeede" this year for sure. Let me know if you plan to go to Idaho, I might be able to pull it. Also, DD is at my house for the next 2 weeks...we are putting in some sky-lights. Give your girls some love from leslie and I!

Jonny Water,
Just start paddling C-1 or open canoe, It makes the 3+ very exiting
