Man that looks awesome! What is the deal with this thing? I have never heard of it before. And where is it?

Craw, its one of those that looks better than it actually is. Tends to be shallow with a broken concrete bottom. It's a side channel of the Colorado. I've had some good days there, but it isn't worth the drive from Denver. If you're in Junction however, its super good.

The pics brought back memories. Back in 94' I experienced my first windowshade there. I don't even know if people know what a windowshade is now...

Ah, yes...the first windowshade! I think it was 1986 on the Shennandoah in an Old Town Bambino. Nowadays, that's the gauge for when I'm getting lazy. Two windowshades and out for a rest.

That wave does look money, though. Where exactly is it? Thinking it could be a nice stop on the way to/from Westwater.

Ah first windowshade.... Corsica S '94, Nugget hole on the Rogue river. Yikes that's getting to be a long time ago.

That wave looks sweet, give it up fellas. Directions please.

This wave has changed a lot in last few years. I hit it at 17,500 CFS on the Westwater gauge. It was not shallow. I probably wouldn’t run it much lower than that, because it will get bony. I'll give you directions: Travel SW on Broadway, and cross over the river, turn right at the first light on Power Rd. Take Power road and stay to the right, you will see a gravel pit pond on your left, the wave is a 1/4 mile past it on the right. It is hard to miss. It can be a bit tricky to get out of sometimes if you get in the meat. It has given some of us some pretty interesting rides.
