Solo ELF 12/13/10

Paddled Number 4 thru 7 in 40+ weather yesterday. The ice bridges of 2 weeks ago are gone. Beautiful afternoon, moderate wind at my back. Judging from a couple indicator rocks, the level was between 150 and 175? Some iced eddies and my fave route thru #7 had to be altered due to ice. Managed to catch a FU rock with my bow and get pushed into a broach resulting in a flip and roll, brisk! Always looking for ELFing partners.

Some ELF paddling

I am ready for some paddling anytime now. Thinking about the gorge but don't know how bad the ice will be in there.

When you wanna hit the numbers again let me know and I'll drive up.

After Sunday's game and a good day one the river, you've had one hell of a week.

Phil / Solid

I'm in for a mid-morning run next Wednesday, 22nd, either the R. Gorge or the #'s sounds sweet too.

Phil, I sent you a PM.

Solid, here is my number, call/text anytime, and lets put something together.

Let me know if you guys get something together, I would like to go if I can make it...hard to motivate myself to give up the backcountry on the weekends, but if you boat during the week I would like to go.

I'm game, I'd happily do either one of those. The Gorge would be entertaining just for novelness for me. I'm pretty open between
12/18 and Jan 3. Just gotta work around some ski days

looks like it's gonna be cold for a week or so, next chance may be next thursday or friday. we see when it gets closer; personally i'd be down for pine creek and/or numbers, the royal gorge paddle out is heinous, & i think more fun whitewater up north here anyways, and iam in BV! Jtnc, geardog, phil u, CKS paddler or anyone thinkin of firin it up please hit me up, i'd love to paddle if it warms up a bit.
DONT Believe the Bible's low rating of low water pine Ck-numbers!!! it is still quality, creeky, and fun. Triple Drop and Pine Creek Rapid (and Car Crash) are the best rapids on the ark at low flows, still class IV and still 150 feet per mile!! and maybe the best low water boof on the Ark is in pine creek!!! slide to boof!!!

I'm fine for Numbers/Pine Creek. I haven't run Pine Creek, but am happy to walk if need be. I don't mind boating in the cold so long as it's ice bridge free. BigT was fun boating w/ice covering the rocks, shoreline, the back of your PFD, etc
