I rode sleds yesterday, going back out today.
At Jones pass, there is a spot at 12,300 feet that usually has a 12-15' deep chute that we ride through (normal snowpack) Yesterday, the rocks that make up the sides of the chute are JUST barely starting to show up in the snow (the whole formation has been covered since early may). So at this elevation there is 12-15 MORE feet there now, mid june, than there is normally in april or so.
It's gonna have to start getting way warmer to get rid of this much snow!!!
